  • Our factory fitted weather seals are designed to work as a compression seal resulting in flawless, consistent closure.

  • Our windowsills do not project from the face of the window so water cannot sit on the sill; any water that hits the glass is allowed to drain completely away from the window.
  • All windows, doors and frames are constructed with a full mortice and tenon joint. The head and sill is cut to the full width of the window and the jambs scribed over the head and sill profile, which provide a very strong, long lasting window joint.
  • All external edges of our windows have a 3mm radius. We do this to prolong the life of your paints and stains. Paints and stains do not adhere to sharp corners, so we put a radius on them so the paint or stain performs much better on your window.
  • The option of fully finished windows ensures you have the highest quality finish available.

European Weather Seals

A correctly fitted weather seal is vital not only in preventing leakage but also in providing optimum energy efficiency for your home. At Fairoak we only fit European weather seals that have passed meticulous European standards.

Our weather seal has been designed so it wraps itself around the edge of the door or sash to form a continuous seal.

  • Wedge shape profile that wraps itself around the door, giving a continuous, impenetrable seal.
  • The seal is installed as a compression seal so when you close the window with your multi point locking system it pulls the sash tight up against the seal.

With the increasing demand on our environment it is important to know that what you’re using is a renewable resource. The timber we use also meets all requirements for energy efficiency. It has high insulation values and has a FSC certificate for environmental management.
